About

Martina Uthardt is a Swedish-speaking Finnish contemporary artist inspired by the coastal landscapes of Finland and Ostrobothnia. Her expressive paintings capture Nordic light, atmosphere, and emotion, and have been exhibited internationally in the USA and China.
- I want to convey the passion and joy I feel when I enter the world of painting. You may find a painting that speaks to you. My greatest inspiration comes from nature in Finland and my surroundings, which are always reflected in my work.
- Painting and photography have always been important parts of my life, where I have found joy, balance, and expression. Right now, I am especially fond of acrylics, with their ability to create layers and shifts that make each painting come alive and unique in different lights. For me, creation is both a journey and a meditation – a way to find harmony and grow as an artist.
- My dream is for my paintings to evoke experiences and emotions such as joy, calm, and comfort in those who surround themselves with them. My inspiration comes from nature, travels, memories, and my background, from Papua New Guinea to Germany, and my home in Ostrobothnia.
I am grateful for my journey in art and hope it continues for a long time. Welcome to join me on this journey!
To help each other
It feels important that we support each other and remember all that we have to be grateful for. That’s why it gives me great joy to contribute to important organizations. In 2021, I donated to Nordic Wildlife Care, and in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024, I have contributed to Street Children in Nepal.
